IHD not handling gas 'properly' ?

I have been using the DCC Sourced data for a couple of years, and often saw 'gaps' and negative values in Gas usage... (Im using an Integration in Home assistant...which I've modified!).

However, I now have a Glow IHD, and use local MQTT.

But I still see the same 'gaps' in daily data, and it doesnt reset to zero at the beginning of the day (like the electric).

Why is that ?

I didnt capture the MQTT messages, but where there are gaps, I assume thats because the IHD didnt send a 'daily' value (for example, I see a gap at 3pm (strange time!) in the linked image...

The cumulative gas data is correct...in that it only increases, but surely the firmware codeidentifies the beginning of today as always 00:00:00 (local), cant the firmware set to zero at this time ?
