I have successfully downloaded electricity data using http://www.smarttariffsmartcomparison.org but there doesnt seem to be any option to download Gas data. Please could you add this, I don't really want to mess around with the API.
Hi I've not tried http://www.smarttariffsmartcomparison.org as I didn't realise it existed. Its unlikely to involve gas as there aren't currently any Time of Use tariffs. Time of Use tariffs are all about shifting demand to reduce the need for generating capacity, gas can be easily stored so there really isn't the need.
I use https://data.n3rgy.com/consumer/home which allows you to download both gas and electricity but for a maximum of the past 90 days.
I have also tried that site but it only supplies per interval usage data and for some reason continually has gaps with error codes in my data meaning you cant work out that days usage. When I flag this to them they say its the smart meter failing to provide the data (and yet no such problem with Bright showing that data so it can't be true) and they have never adequately explained why they cant supply actual meter readings so that gaps don't matter.
I don't really see why the site should be limited to time of use tariffs but even if it is, the site is linked to the Bright App which provides both gas and electricity data so they could provide the means to download it. Again, I appeal for this to be added.
