Bright App incredibly slow at loading again

Is someone overloading your servers with requests again…like last week ? Reason I ask this is that as from this morning Bright App is soooooooo slow to load… who’s hitting your servers with multiple requests and causing this for the rest of us ?

just a thought and I though you ought to know about this repeat issue

  • I'm not techie enough to use MQTT but I do use the app a lot and have the glow ihd. Both my smart meters were installed 2 months ago by Octopus. Everything was spot on until the tariff costs changed on April 2. Since then only my gas daily charge and unit rate is showing correctly on the IHD and app. I've raised a ticket which I'm sure is being looked into so I'll just have to be patient. Everything on the octopus site shows correctly but I'm not sure that's a valid test to be honest as I've found their help desk people appalling at best. So them telling me my meters have been updated correctly doesn't convince me I'm afraid as nothing else they've told me makes any sense. Anyway, I too have seen a severe response issue with the bright app that appears to last for several minutes at a time starting at the top and bottom of every hour. But Jane said they are looking into it so again I'll be patient.

  • I haven't had any drop outs since 00:04BST today, so looks like whatever it was may have been fixed

  • My app is still really slow to load. Don't know if it's related but CAD has lost connection with meter (it's 2m away with direct line of sight) and does not seem to want to reconnect.

  • CAD to meter is unrelated I would have thought. Thats a HAN thing. The usual fix when my supplier IHD decides to lose connection is to power it off for a few minutes and then power it back on

  • Spoke too soon - seems to be on a go slow again
