• @dougie both formats are JSON-encoded. The remote MQTT one contains a mapping of Zigbee cluster/attributes to values. The local MQTT contains a conversion of the data into a Tasmota-friendly data structure.

• marky101: the GlowStick (no display) does not support local MQTT, the Display CAD does support it. Both of them support remote MQTT via a broker at glowmqtt.energyhive.com.

• Yes, that's an SMETS1 CAD. From the information on the product page and in the forums, I assumed both versions will offer the same features? Did anybody ever get any form of local MQTT working?
