Bright + Glow API showing some missing data for previous day

edited April 5 in General

Anyone else noticed that the data in Bright / Glow API seems to be missing a bit of the tail end of the previous day's readings, even though some of the current days readings are now present (the data having been refreshed)

This seems to get sorted by the next day, but is a consistent issue - which is probably why my supplier (EOn) don't update the usage data in their app for a couple of days, when it becomes complete.

I can't believe that it's a fault with the Bright/Glow readover (why would they pull the current day's readings but miss some of the previous day's), so I suspect it's more to do with some problem at the DCC end

  • The readings from the meter seem to get read around midnight for the previous day, then read again in the morning (maybe?)
  • However the data is often missing several of the ½ hourly readings for the previous day (This shows on Bright which displays everything)
  • Sometimes readings for the current day are present, but some still missing for the previous day
  • It's only later in the day that the previous day's readings may get correctly populated
  • So by day 2 hopefully everything is there

I've documented this in more detail on the EOn customer forum here
