MQTT Home Assistant update frequency and Socket errors

Is there any way to improve the update frequency. Sometimes it's seems to be more regular than others and doesn't always reflect the readout on the IHD.


also I see a lot of these socket errors. Is that normal?

 Connecting bridge glowmqtt (glowmqtt.energyhive.com:8883)
 Socket error on client local.core-mosquitto.glowmqtt, disconnecting.
